Grassroots Network
Our mission is to improve delivery of support for Health and Well-being by small, grassroots organisations that use a person-centred approach.
We are coming together to support each other and have a bigger voice, having slowly been silenced over the past few years.
We can also organise action- specific projects to reach goals (e.g. petitions, awareness, fundraising).
We focus on:
Sharing updates about our services
Signposting between our organisations
Supporting each other
Creating partnerships
Preventing duplication
Micky has developed a school scheme which helps young children and teenagers with their wellbeing, focusing on a set of mental health core values alongside fitness activities.
Strength 2 Strength
I am a trained Independent domestic abuse adviser and I'm running courses, workshops and 1 to 1s. I work with men, women and children in Kent.
Canterbury Umbrella
Canterbury Umbrella is a Community Hub that provides a place for people to come and relax, meet friends and receive support from our staff, volunteers and other members.
The Sage Network
We are two Occupational Therapists who facilitate community garden groups focusing on health, well being, connection, learning and growth for all members of the communities they are within.
Julie offers a range of therapeutic sessions for individuals including Living in the Moment Workshop, and affordable Healing sessions. Julie specialises in bereavement and loss.
Necessary Furniture
Necessary Furniture is a self-funded charitable organisation providing low-cost furniture and essential household goods to disadvantaged individuals and families within the community. In partnership with relevant agencies, we also provide valuable work experience opportunities for unemployed people, helping them develop skills and improve employability.
Mayah's Legacy
Mayah’s Legacy is an advocacy charity dedicated to giving women and families the confidence to speak up about their health needs. We focus on women’s health, pregnancy care, perinatal well-being, and self-advocacy, ensuring that those often unheard in healthcare are listened to, supported, and empowered. Through our work, we challenge inequalities, provide education, share lived experiences, and build supportive communities so that no woman or family feels isolated or voiceless in their health journey.

Be Change
Bechange is a vibrant community hub in the heart of Aylesham, bringing people together to connect, grow and feel supported. We offer practical and emotional support to individuals and families facing challenges with their wellbeing, unemployment and isolation, often alongside poverty.
Alongside early support at times of crisis, our hub provides a wide range of activities that help people build skills, boost confidence, improve financial wellbeing and strengthen relationships, creating a more connected and resilient community.
